Establishment of risk prediction models for 15 diseases/symptoms

“DKABio Health Score” defines effective health indicators

Presently, the “DKABio Smart Health Analytics” has established risk prediction models for 15 diseases/conditions using medical care and health examination data from Chinese people as the basis for modeling and is a health risk prediction tool specially designed for Chinese people. DKABio is based on systematic concepts and integrates personal life habits, body constitutions, family heredities, personal status of 15 chronic diseases, and results of 88 health examination items, etc. to construct individualized health scores. After comparing the individualized health scores with those of Chinese people of the same sex and age, one can know the relative ranking of one’s health status, indirectly learn about one’s degree and speed of aging, and further estimate the potential risk of various chronic diseases.

After comparing individualized health indicators with those of Chinese people of the same sex and age, one can know the relative ranking of one’s health status and indirectly learn about one’s degree and speed of aging. By comparing one’s health with the risk faced by Chinese people of the same sex and age, you can also calculate the risk multiples of various chronic diseases. Risk multiples have a very important application. For example, if you are a 60-year-old man, the risk of hypertension in the next 5 and 10 years is known to be 20.8% and 36.1% respectively. However, if you have arthritis without other diseases, and your disease and health examination results are predicted by the system to have a risk multiple of 1.8 times that of Chinese people of the same sex and age, then your predicted risk for hypertension in the next 5 and 10 years will be raised to about 35.5% and 65.0%, respectively. This is a very alarming risk.

One of the features of DKABio health scores is its evaluation of health status relative to that of Chinese people. “An indicator is meaningful only if there is another indicator to serve as reference.”
